Triangle over North Brunswick, NJ
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I went out to dispose of recycling at around 8:30 p.m. Standing on my back porch facing west I observed a bright reddish-orange triangle moving toward my location from west to east. My home lies on the approach path to Newark Intl. Airport. This object made no sound as it moved toward my home in the same manner and altitude (a few thousand feet) as most planes do. After a few seconds it stopped moving east, hovered for a couple seconds then sharply turned right (south). It disappeared behind trees and I lost sight of it.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #159114). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
