Formation over Tenafly, NJ

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Now - on feb 8th i reported a formation of 40 or so starlights. These flew one after the other at approx 5 fingers distance from each other. Read that these could have been satellites from the space X launch back in 11/2019. The time was the same 5:40am-5:55am. If that is the case - i’m surprised that they would come closer as time went by as opposed to further away from each other. Besides - should satellites change direction?

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #153717). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
