The report, as filed
Approx. 6:45pm upon arriving home i was looking north towards hillsboro and saw 2 bright orange blobs travelling on a very erratic course in a mostly nw direction. While traveling in the same direction, they both had different paths of flight. One went way up in the sky then just disappeared. Blinked out. The other continued across the sky in its seemingly drunken manner. Then not even 2 minutes later, here comes 2 more flying in the same weird crazy way. I went into the house looked back at the sky and there was 2 more, so i asked my roommate to come see and he confirmed that yes, he saw them too and had no idea what they were. Total time start to finish was 10 minutes roughly. Whatever they were, they were in no hurry to get where they were going.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #152993). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Approx. six to seven red dots (not flashing) in a row equally spaced. Moving at a high rate of speed with no sound heading North bound. The red dots were not super bright but way to fast to be a plane/no navigational flashing lights again, no sound. Not sure what to think??? This was not normal by any means... Am a ((deleted--fifties)) year old male/Veteran/who FIRMLY believes there is something else.

UFO reporting center, Last Friday or Saturday (5-15/16-15) I think it was Saturday around 9:50pm, my wife called me outside to look at the southern sky. Hanging suspended below the clouds were 3 orange orbs, a beautiful shade of orange. These orbs hung suspended without moving and no noise. Over several minutes each of these orbs, which were formed a roughly triangle formation, faded then blinked out. As they faded they flattened out. Before the last one faded out two more appeared the western sky and slowly rose until they were in the same area as the first 3. As they arrived the last of the first 3 faded out. These two hung suspended, just as the first 3 did, with no noise until they flattened out and faded out. We live in Western Oregon. Did anyone else report these orbs? My wife called emergency dispatch and later a deputy called and talked with me about this but he wasn’t bright enough to spell ufo so I don’t think he believed me. Witness indicates that the date is approximate. PD
