I live on a lake that has a wide view that covers Mt Ranier to JBLM military base. It started when I saw a red glow coming from near JBLM. I thought there might be a fire, or they were blowing stuff up as usual. The only thing is that I hear the explosions all the time, and last night it was really quiet. After the sky glowed and flickered red for 10 minutes, a fiery glowing red/orange egg shaped object rose above the tree line. For about a minute it just sat right at the tree line, almost looking like a sunset. It was 10pm when I started taking pictures, and the sunsets on the opposite side from where I was filming. I would've otherwise thought it was a missile or explosion, but it just sat there hovering. After some time it moved up above the tree line and become fully visible. It moved up and down, and then left and right for a few seconds, and then descended back beneath the tree line. It went dark again for another 15 minutes, and then it rose again above the tree line but this time it was much dimmer, but bright enough to track it. It flew over toward mt ranier, really quickly and hovered there for another 10 minutes or so. Then it started moving again, except it got dimmer quickly and almost vanished in an instant. Not sure what that was... The pictures dont really do it justice. It looks like a sunset but the sun does not set over mt ranier from where i live near olympia. Its opposite of the mountain, and it was after 10pm.

The light appeared over neighbors home to the west moved forward towards us 1” in sky measurement. Disappeared. The light turned back on and moved fast to the North and then went westward twice as fast as any American aircraft.

I have been seeing this light in the sky for about 2 weeks. It takes a similar path in the sky and when the sun sets and it is in different origin. But a relatively near the same patch of sky. Here is a video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpOARx7D2ws&t=3s Possibly a sighting of Venus?? PD

Flying at what seemed to be about the same altitude as a military helicopter might fly, we saw a craft that had 2 rows of parallel lights. Each row had perhaps 4 or 5 lights. The top row was at first a bright pink. Then changed to turquoise, then red. The bottom row remained white. The brightness and size of the lights were all we saw. There was no body of a vehicle visible. Though the lights were a bit odd, the speed of the vehicle and it's ability to change or reverse directions without slowing down, and it's silence were truly unusual. Sitting in our back yard facing west, the object flew at about a 45% angle from the horizon, flying north to south, back and forth, turning sharp angles and reversing directions without slowing down. This took place just south of the Thompson Place/Tanglewilde area of Lacey WA. After flying north to south, back and forth for about 4 minutes + or – it disappeared behind the treeline to the north and was gone.
