The report, as filed
To the south of Red Lodge, toward Cody, Wyoming, a bright multi-colored light (or lights) was stationary in the sky with no sound. It was much brighter than the stars. I have seen meteors before, this didn't move at all.

Object appeared suddenly looking West over Grizzly peak. Looked like a super bright star flashing red and blue light. Object stayed stationary flashing for 5min then vanished. No other stars were visible tonight. Looked at it through binoculars and looked like a burning star.

We saw 30 dots of light traveling one after the other from the south west to the north east. Possibly satellites traveling in a line.

I witnessed the same thing as a viewer in 2001, only crystals clouded my eyes just after seeing the object. It was slightly darker than the sky.

While walking out to my car I saw a silent triangle craft that consisted of 3 faint orange balls. One at tip and two at bottom forming a triangle. I watched as it glided silently above me in a straight line before taking a sharp left angle turn like it was on rails. It appeared to be blending in with the night sky aside from its faint orange engines (if that's what they are). 10:30 pm Red Lodge, MT.
