The report, as filed
A strange shape of green lights hovering in the distance standing still for a few seconds then did like a hop in elevation straight up and then shot horizontally at a speed I have never seen any man made object fly and disappeared out of my view as I was traveling on rt 25, a small group of trees obstructed my view a few seconds after it took its horizontal path of travel and there was no sign of it anywhere after. The light pattern was shaped as a sideways candy cane with a vertical tail as drawn below. Lights were a lighter green and not of any color I’ve seen on an aircraft before, nor have I ever seen any object with a light pattern like that.
