Driving down the road and stopped at a stop sign and noticed a stationary bright red light over the tree line once we turned it lowered and was hovering right beind the car for 30 seconds following us at the same speed and then veered 90 degress to the left and dissapeared

My mom was driving and saw a light flashing in the sky and asked me what it was. I looked out the window and it flashed and lit up the whole sky for maybe 1 second. I didn’t get a good look the first time, but then it flashed again and it looked only 50’ above us and slowing down. It looked round like a saucer but more like a mushroom with a very short stalk. It also had a lot of windows all over it and when it flashed it looked like all the lights were on in the object and it was almost flashing by accident. Like all the lights were on inside but you could only see when the outside flashed every minute. It started to slow down a bit and there were cars behind us so we couldn’t slow down all the way. I took a video on my phone and at about 15 seconds in you can see the sky light up. It’s not a great video though.
