The report, as filed
On July 20th at 12:30AM, I was awakened by flashing circular lights in my bedroom. I went to the window and looked in the sky and it was lit up brightly in one area over Lake Norman. I was able to take 2 pictures and 1 video. When I videoed the sight, the lights pulsated every 2 seconds for a period of 35 minutes in the same spot. Very unusual sighting. I was told by a local newspaper reporter that a pilot has also reported the same type of sighting 2 hours earlier about 25 miles away from my location.

My family was testing out our new telescope and had attached my iPhone to the lens to see how videos through this relatively inexpensive telescope would turn out. As I was recording one part of the video, I would tap the screen to focus on the moon. As it was focusing on the moon, which we only noticed upon review of the video, an object appears to materialize out of thin air and travel quickly across the screen. Since my focal point was the moon, the object had to be near the moon and moving very fast and likely very large, for me to be able to pick it up. Upon zooming in, it almost looks like a bullet hole when you see those slow motion videos shooting through something. I checked the box below to be contacted, but just wanted to say if you have questions or if you can explain what it is, I’d love to hear it, but you don’t have to contact me if you don’t need to. Just wouldn’t want to waste anyone’s time as it’s not a lot of evidence but we have always thought it was compelling… thanks!

Single white light moving across the sky heading north from the Lake Norman region. No sound, swayed from side to side a little bit. Moving too fast to be a Chinese wish lantern, and to slow to be a aircraft. I see a lot of plane activity over Lake Norman, but this was very strange, very strange indeed. One round bright light, brighter than the moon, appearing from nowhere and descending rapidly straight down followed by two smaller bright round lights. All disappeared into nothing. All were just beside the moon to the right. Appeared to be possibly as far away as South Charlotte (25 miles), but it was hard to gauge.

A bright round light burst in the sky from out of nowhere. It lit up the sky like a flood light but was gone as fast as it appeared. It burned yellow, orange and red. There was no sound, no moon and many stars visible in the sky. It was positioned South of us, towards Charlotte/Huntersville. We so no movement. This was witnessed by myself, my husband and my daughter. My daughter and husband saw it directly. I was facing the other direction and saw the light burst from behind me and light the sky. It lasted a matter of seconds. It appeared to be just behind and above the treeline. No trail.

Between 8:15pm EST and 8:20pm EST on Wed., Sept. 17, 2014, I was driving in my apartment complex and noticed two planet-size, circular, reddish-orange lights in the southern sky about 45 degrees up. As I tried to get to a clear spot and park, one of the lights (the lower of the two) faded away. I was able to park and get out of my car and another neighbor joined me in observing the remaining ball of light. It was stationary, but pulsating a reddish-orange light. There was no sound. This lasted about 5 minutes before it slowly faded away or burned out. I know that there is a nuclear plant not too far away in that same direction, but I am not sure if there is any connection.
