Nineteen independent red lights appeared over the ocean in sky well above horizon. They appeared in random spots and had no tail like a flare or fireball. They they disappeared after 20-30 seconds. The lights were not in a line and not all at the same height but well above the horizon.

A close friend (professional photographer) and I (retired peace officer) were on the balcony of a condo we had rented with our mates in Ocean City MD, while severe thunderstorms were coming a little further west towards the mainland. I was filming the sky from my Galaxy S22 with the hope of capturing beautiful flashes, while my friend was taking pictures with his professional camera for the same reasons. I took seven short videos spread over about 20 minutes, mainly observing the image on my mobile screen until the worst of the storm had passed. Back inside the condo, I quickly reviewed the video footage, looking for finds that would have "dazzled" me, but from my very small screen, nothing too exciting, especially compared to the photos taken by my friend. But, watching the very end of my last video, I first thought I saw a tiny light moving quickly from north to south. I looked again and then showed this to my friend. I then transferred the video to my laptop which is old, and although the 13.5" screen was quite wider than that of my S22, its poor resolution did not allow to distinguish a constant or even solid shape. Neither one nor the other had noticed the stealthy passage of this phenomenum as no sound accompanied it. My friend's photos could not corroborate what had been recorded on my mobile since, unfortunately, he had already started putting away his equipment shortly before I set up for the last video. We were going to take a closer look once back home in Quebec. On my 55-inch TV, the image quality makes it possible to better observe this white light which seems to touch the cloud base that must have been between 1000 and 1500 feet above sea level, according to us. It sometimes penetrates the clouds, then reappears further here and there. I cannot confirm how far it would have been visible in the sky, since I had ended my video before it reached the end of my field of vision to the south. For our part, we ruled out the possibility of an airplane, given its high velocity which we estimated at about 2000 miles per hour, the absence of sound and the usual position lights, and also the fact of moving near severe thunderstorms while a tornado alert was in force. It would also be surprising if a meteorite would move horizontally at such a low altitude. Could it be a projector’s light? We didn't see anything like this during our week-long stay, and no rays seems apparent, but we can't exclude this possibility. At approximately 9:45 pm a red dot lit up the sky. It looked like a tip of a signal flare without the trail leading up. A few minutes later, there were two red lights blinking in sequence one after another, drawing out a triangle. This continued for a few minutes with the dots getting closer and further apart, drawing out a bigger triangle. In the final stages there was a total of 5 red lights arranged in an incomplete triangle burning brightly in the sky, remains still. After about 5-15 seconds, the lights disappeared completely.

Around 12:45 p.m. today (east coast time), I was sitting on my ocean front balcony facing east. The sky was clear blue with clouds out far over the ocean. I noticed a white dot hovering out over the ocean...many miles out. It was about 2-3 inches above the horizon. It was still & not moving. I kept watching & finally decided to get my grandfathers old binoculars. Through them, it looked like either a square or diamond shape, but solid white. It can be seen with the naked eye as just a white dot, but through the binocs, it had the square or diamond shape. Definitely had 4 points. I then remembered I had newer & stronger binoculars in my Jeep. I walked out & grabbed them, & returned to the balcony (5 min duration). I saw the same thing through the stronger binocs, but could def. see a diamond shaped object. With the clouds & lines in the clouds as my backdrop, I could clearly see the object wasn't moving up/down, or left/right. I was planning on going to the beach, & after watching this for 30-40 minutes, I gathered my stuff & walked out to the beach (10 min duration). I brought the stronger binoculars & continued watching from the beach level. My balcony is about 20 feet above the beach FYI. I watched this object for another 30-40 minutes, when at 1 point, I looked in that direction, & it was gone. I continued looking in the general direction of where it was for another hour or 2, but it never returned. It was very far out over the ocean, it never moved, & was still the entire time. It was the only thing in the sky, that far out, bright white, & about the size of a pencil eraser, from where I watched from.

Bright Light stationary for over a hour and still counting. Sky is completely cloudy dark with no stars in sky. Object has been stationary so far over hour.
