Formation over North Rim, AZ

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At 9:00pm Arizona time myself and the 5 people I was camping with saw a strange light formation crawl across a clear night sky. It was many lights of varying brightness and size crawling across the sky in a line. The rest of the camping trip we called it the "space worm" because it almost looked like some kind of glowing deep sea worm full of lights. 5 of us saw it and we even woke up the 6th person to make sure we weren't just seeing things. The only thing we could think of that wouldn't be too crazy is possibly a huge line of satellites, but they were moving to naturally and were much larger and brighter than the other satellites we had seen during the night. It moved like it was alive and some of it's lights blinked on and off with a few trailing behind until it went over the horizon line. String of Space Link satellites. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #146592). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
