The report, as filed
Object was seen in the southwestern sky at approximately 6,000 to 10,000 feet. Clouds were sparse. Object appeared very briefly for 1-2 seconds. It looked like the silver fuselage of a large aircraft. No wings were seen. I was expecting the aircraft to turn and show its silhouette. It vanished. There was no con-trail or other vapor from it. There was no sound.
