Fireball over St. Joseph, MN
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
It was around 3:00 am, and I was on my way home from avengers endgame, after talking with my friend. I was in between Waite Park, MN, and St Joseph, MN, when I noticed a fireball almost like it was falling towards the earth, (if I have a distant away from me I would say 10-15 miles out and the fire ball was about the size of a quarter from my perspective so it had to be pretty huge and had a tail from my distant about 3 inches long) then out of nowhere the fire ball shot up in the opposite direction and vanished.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145944). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
