Fireball over Hampstead, MD
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Spotted object moving from the northwest to southeast. Thought it was a comet at first but it was moving far too slowly. Altitude was higher than a helicopter but lower than a commercial plane. Made no noise whatsoever. Looked like a pulsating fireball, dimming and then brightening as it traveled. Movement was intelligent. Took about a minute and a half to two minutes for it to travel out of eyesight.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #144704). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Driving home from work. 4:15pm. Clear blue sky. No clouds. See shining orb type light. Then starts to flicker. Thought just the sun reflecting off a plane. Then the light got bigger and started flickering. Then got even a bit larger, then reduced in size from the outside inward. Then vanished, nothing there. No plane to be seen. While trying to not run off the road, I looked where the light was, then it appeared. A rectangular shaped object, angled on the ends. Silver with both ends a gold color. Then in shock of what I am seeing, it then disappeared. But this is where it gets freaky. The object vanished not by flying away. This thing disappeared from one side to the other. While remaining stationary, it vanished from right to left. Like erasing a line on a chalk board with an eraser. This thing turned invisible while I was looking at it. Gave me the chills. I still look up in the sky now when driving on clear days. I would love to get a video of this. But this whole ordeal was only about 30 seconds or more, and I was driving. I now know, 100%, I saw an aircraft that is not from this planet. Have yet to tell anyone.

Outside our townhome, me and my brother-in-law noticed what appeared to be 4 aircraft flying west closely together. However, the craft were bright red/orange with a red/orange streak. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
