Let the dog out approximately at midnight. The "moon" was so bright it appeared to be a harvest moon, but the color was so bright and reddish in color. There was no sound. Moon appeared to be stationary above the lake. The shape was not fully rounded - more half to crescent, yet 3-D. Watched it for about a minuted, then took a picture to share with my family. Picture was taken from inside a screened in porch due to elevation when attempted to take picture outside that area. Returned inside, thinking it was just a pretty moon. Asked my adult son to look at the "moon" that it was really bright. When he went out, he could not see anything. I returned outside and could no longer see anything. I looked up moon rise and set times and it did not appear to correlate with this sighting.

I stepped out onto the back porch while letting the dog out, was looking up at the sky at the clouds checking the weather. The sky was cloudy. I looked eastward and noticed 3 objects floating in the sky. They were silver in color and equally separated from each other, there was no sound. Then suddenly they took off and disappeared.

I was in my next door neighbor's backyard with him at 125 Quinn Ln at dusk. There were two passenger airlines that were approaching for landing at Charlotte Douglas International traveling from North to South. I commented that the first plane was flying lower than they normally do when they fly over our property. I also pointed out the Venus/Jupiter conjunction to him which was in the direction the plane was traveling. Shortly after the first plane passed, while I was looking at the conjunction, I spotted a turquoise light traveling at a high rate of speed from south to north. It would have been to the starboard side of the planes. It appeared to be at a similar altitude as the planes. I’m hoping they saw it and will report to corroborate the sighting. The object was a unique glowing ball of light of a turquoise color, but it didn’t look like a drone which I have seen several times in the area and will make a buzzing sound. I pointed it out to my neighbor. We were both astonished at its appearance, speed, and behavior. Neither of us have ever seen anything like it. We watched as it appeared to be traveling at an incredibly high rate of speed from south to north and was completely silent. It made a few sudden directional change maneuvers which would not be physically possible for any aircraft that I am aware of, especially at such a high rate of speed. We were in awe at what this unusual object was doing and didn’t have time to photograph it. The sighting lasted approximately 10 seconds. I took a photograph shortly after the sighting just so you can see our vantage point. The object traveled from near the Venus/Jupiter conjunction on the left and we lost sight of it as it went behind the house on the right.

I was taking my dog out and I just by chance happened to see a bright flash in the sky. I looked up to see what I can only describe a “scrambler” ride from the fair spinning in circle like a top and every time it spun around the arm had some “meteor blue” lights on each arm that swung around.. It didn’t have a repeating movement it was very irractic, but it just moved slowly right across the sky.. so profound!!!!!

Let dogs out to go potty at 12:25am on New Year's Eve and was immediately shocked to see 3 very bright lights flying in a V formation over Lake Norman in NC. The lights were too large and too bright to possibly be any commercial aircraft and they were in a specific V or Triangle, flying faster than possible by airplanes. It was also massive in size, could not be a drone. They suddenly disappeared. I was in shock. This morning, I Googled to see if anyone else had seen the same thing and found videos from the Charlotte Observer that people had captured over NC about a week ago, 12/17. The videos show the exact same thing I saw last night.

The light was really bright, and really white as well. It appeared as though the object(s) moved from the left of my window to the right. I was just trying to get some sleep because I have school the next day, and then all of a sudden I see two really bright lights flash and light my room up for roughly 5 seconds. Each flash lasted about 2.5 seconds. From the way the light looked the objects might have been orbs of some sort, maybe even a saucer.
