The report, as filed
10/6/18 @ 1:30am EST Noticed a bright light with two smaller red blinking lights close to the Charleston International Airport. By all indications, including proximity to the airport, I would guess this to be a helicopter based on the altitude and speed, however, there was no engine/rotor noice what so ever. At this time of night, sounds of traffic and sirens can be heard from miles away on Rivers Avenue or I26, however, this 'craft' was moving at a fairly fast clip, very low altitude (approx only several hundred feet max) and based on the size of the light/glow, suggesting close proximity, the engine or rotor sounds should have been heard. This is the second sighting of this in approximately the same location, however, the blinking red lights (similar to any ordinary aircraft) were not present on the 1st sighting which occurred in early September 2018. Another oddity about this particular sighting is that it appeared to pick up speed and get lower, however, the size of the light did not app! ear to change which suggested that the range stayed roughly the same, as if moving in a circular pattern, which would then not suggest the airport as a destination.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #143376). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Broad daylight, blue sky. 200 yards away. I saw one very bright white square shaped ufo. The shape was more like a thick square that had been flattened a little and the corners were slightly rounded. There was a silver band at the midpoint or just below. It hovered, hanging silently in the air. I turned my head away for 3 seconds to see if anyone else was seeing it. When I turned back, it was gone, I mean gone. I searched the skies but it was nowhere. I was close enough to see it was not a balloon or a drone. I had seen this thing and no one will ever tell me I didn’t. And I will never deny seeing it.

Tried to go to the store while on a phone call, strange noise happened call was disrupted, and car shut down, still wont turn on. Heard a noise behind the car and ran inside the house. Feel like I'm crazy but figured I would report it anyways. I'm still not completely sure what happened.

I saw lights bright as stars in the sky in a horizontal formation looked to be one craft shine in the dusk dark sky and as I pulled out my phone to snap a picture the lights disappeared and I saw a helicopter approaching the area where the lights where the helicopter was coming from the north heading towards the harbor and the lights reappeared as the helicopter got closer and then it looked like the lights headed northeast without making a sound it moved outwards towards the ocean in a blink of a eye it didn't just vanish it faded away like looking at tail lights of a very fast moving car and it was gone in a instant and the helicopter just kept moving in the direction of the harbor.

Saw 4 bright greenish colored lights in a straight line close together. The lights appeared one by one, hardly moved or moved very slowly, then dissipated one by one into thin air. We saw it from our balcony at our apartment and the lights were over the Ashley River (peninsula) in Charleston, SC. It was a clear sky for the most part, it was dark. we had no lights on or anything in the house or on the balcony. It was just me and my husband.
