Flash over Apache Junction, AZ
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
There were 2 bright lights, that could only be seen through the telescope, and they were white. Then a third one appeared and they moved into a triangle formation, after chasing each other around in the sky just above the saddle of the mountain, when looking from Apache Junction. Once they settled into the triangle formation, they began "crashing" into each other, for lack of better description, almost in turns. When this happened, they would glow bright and then dim back down, and would change color as they got hit, almost like it was showing damage. They went from white, to green, to red to an orange or amber color. Every now and then, one of the lights would shoot off and disappear, and another would come back to replace it in just a few minutes. This went on for at least an hour, until 2 extremely bright lights flew in from the south, moving like helicopters, and chased the color changing lights behind the mountain, where they did not reappear from behind of. These lights were only visible through the telescope, but the flashes could be seen with the naked eye. My son was very freaked out, and I was texting multiple people a play-by-play as it was happening, eyes glued to the telescope. I was unable to get any photo documentation due to this fact. Times and dates are estimated, but within reasonable range. The event occurred between the middle of april to end of may, and it had been dark already for a while. I did not realize such a thing as this existed, or I would have reported this the moment it happened
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #150365). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Approximately fifteen miles to the south of us we saw a large stationary disk, gold in color hovering at an undetermined height. Below the disk were many brightly colored objects that seemed to be drawn or attracted to the disk. In a very chaotic fashion and independent of each other they would at high speed ascend to the disk some would swirl up and others would shoot straight up and every variable in between. Some of the objects were extremely bright while others were relatively dim. We saw many colors, red, blue, orange, white and green. The whole incident was fast and furious. It resembled insects attracted a bright light. The background of observer one is a retired medical specimen processor for a major medical laboratory. Observer number two is Healthcare worker who works with disabled adults. At 6:40am the incident was still happening and was observed the preceding day at the same times and was also undetermined as to when it ended.

Single, white, glowing disc. I was staring straight up (12 oclock). Disc materialized at 10 oclock and traveled directly west to east before passing out of sight over my roof (2 oclock). It was the size of my thumbnail at arms length. It is pitch black out with no reflecting light source. I live at 2000ft on the slope of a 5000ft mountain. The peak is less than half a mile away to the east (Superstition mountain). It seemed low enough that I waited for an explosion but none came. I walked thru my house to the east side but there was no sign of the disc. I've never seen anything like it and I look most nights. There was no cloud cover and no clouds in sight. There was no sound. I am a scientist/physician with 2 doctoral degrees. I have been watching the sky since seeing an UAP about 21 years ago (see report from York PA in oct/nov 1999). This is only my 2nd sighting.

White round craft 30,000 ft high. 4 times bigger than a jet plane. No contrails. Moving North to south ,slowly. Made turn west and was above clouds watch time 20 min. Went west above clouds for 10 min. Came out going west into or above another cloud. 15 min later came out side of cloud and was smaller by 1/2. Another silver dot was next to it and flue from the east side south and around to the south side and back above clouds. 20 min later. Came into view and was smaller. A silver flash of light was next to it. West of UFO a jet with contrails was at 40,000 ft or more west of it. Jet was going south and white disk or box went higher and out of sight. Tried to take a picture but was to high. Watched with binoculars most of the time. Never moved fast but made tight turns. At first, thought it was a satellite going north to south but when it made a right turn knew it wasn’t a plane or satellite. Was too high for helicopter. I thought it was more box shaped, my wife said it was round. End…
