Flash over Porto Alegre (Brazil) · Brazil
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
The light was slightly yellowish and the flares of variable intensity were brighter than the alpha-centaur star that was nearby and one of the flares was much more brighter than the venus glow. The speed of travel was very slow, with no noise whatsoever, it seemed to be at an altitude far superior to that of jet planes. I followed the displacement of the source of the light until it disappeared definitively when arriving at the constellation of the Scorpion. I have had dozens of years of observation as an amateur astronomer and have never seen anything like this with such peculiar behavior. It was certainly not an airplane, not a helicopter, not a balloon and even less a drone. All the observation lasted about five minutes. The witness does not indicate a date, so we have sent him an e-mail, for verification, and assigned an arbitrary date. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #138793). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
Brazilian Air Force UFO records, including the Operação Prato files, are released under the Lei de Acesso à Informação. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
