Cigar over Tarzana, CA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Every day all kinds of aircraft fly above my house--this was nothing that I saw before. It didn't have green and red navigation lights. Source of report indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #136806). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

https://youtu.be/IFQHNzPUQuI I attached my iphone to the railing of my and set my camera to timelapse to catch the sunset. The camera filmed for a little more than an hour. The total time of the video is 31 seconds. As the sun sets four lights appear one by one in the upper left of the screen. You see other planes zipping around but these lights are stationary. I’ve no idea what this is and have not altered this recording in any way.

I saw long flame traveling from west to southeast. It was red at the beginning flying upwards, then it gets shorter and yellow while flying more hoizontally.

It was hovering in the open space just above tree line, near business buildings east of Reseda Boulevard and north of the 101 freeway. The lights on the object twinkled white and red in color. As soon as we both acknowledged its presence, it disappeared.

I saw an unknown spherical object hovering in the sky. It consistently changing colors from blue, green, and red. Its movements were too precise to be an airplane or helicopter, plus it was silent. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
