Circle over Montrose, CA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
What I saw was a star like object moving slowly across the sky and then speed up really fast, and then disappeared. Showing up again with in seconds to the N/W sky. This when I recorded the object. Then, very quickly, was moving up and down and would disappear and be in a different place, when it reappeared. It also would go to a spot repeatedly to where what seemed to be three smaller star like objects, shaped in kind of a diamond with a reddish glow in the middle, I'm guessing. Source of the report elects to remain anonymous; provides little contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #135014). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
