The report, as filed
December 28, 2016 I live in Fredericksburg, VA in Spotsylvania County. On December 28th 2016 around 9:00 p.m. I let my dog out to go to the bathroom and when I looked up at the sky I saw approximately between 70 to 100 cylindrical shaped objects in the sky. They were everywhere when I looked up. They were all above and around me in the sky at a high altitude as I couldn't really make out the shape and am describing them by the lights I saw. They made no sound and were pretty high up because several commercial planes flew by and they were well below the lights I was looking at. Each object had 4 white lights along the side and then it had a green blinking light above it and a red blinking light below it. They were stationary, just hovering there. I grabbed my binoculars and looked at them but couldn’t see any defined edges, only the lights described above. They were not planes or helicopters or blimps as there wasn’t any sound. I continued to watch them for about 15 minutes and they did not move with the exception of 2 of them moving and traveling east but they were not moving very fast. Have looked at news articles in the news paper the following day and nothing was reported. Even my dog was looking up at them which I found strange. Wondering if anyone else has reported seeing these that same evening?

Around 9 PM yesterday evening I saw a somewhat low-flying aircraft that was a rectangle shape and had green lights on the underside in the shape of a half oval at each end of the rectangle speed across the sky above me. It was loud and I could hear it coming towards me. It sounded almost like a tornado and I heard it in both the sky and the trees. I went inside and around 9:20 I heard a loud aircraft and felt my house shake, so there may be another one flying around, or the same one.

I was in the back yard doing some astrophotography work and I looked up to see a form flying in a straight path over my house from the east to the west. I couldn’t tell what my eyes were seeing exactly and there are two ways to describe it. It looked as though it was a translucent boomerang shape with the curved part as the leading edge. But it also could have been the leading edge of a circular shaped craft with some kind of cloaking device on as the leading edge shape had a rippling/rippled effect along with the translucent appearance. It made no sound and with that and no reference point I could not tell if it was a large object 400-500 feet in the air or a small object 50-60 feet off the ground. The cops of trees that it flew over average 50-80 feet high so it was at least above that. The air was still. Barely a slight breeze, super clear night, 51 degrees F and cooling off. 95% of all flight paths in my area are N/S coining in and out of Reagan, Dulles and BWI. I’ve seen UFO’s before and this one was very unusual as it was very movie like in it’s quality.

I was moving SOutheast on Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg near the train station, and high in the sky I saw a very bright light that was moving from right to left, but the light was pointing to the right. The light was very very bright, pointing to the right, but it also had a large cone of light associated with it- Like a giant comet or something in the sky- It really reminded me of pictures of a comet, where there is a huge tail of debris, but there was a bright light pointing backwards as it flew- It was not like any airplane I had ever seen.

My wife, kids, son-in-law, and myself watched a bright white light move quickly in a C shape across the sky above our horse field. It then turned to the north and proceeded in a straight line. We lost sight of it in the tree tops only to see it, or a second light come back in the opposite direction across the sky and then vanishing. It had no sound nor any FAA blinking lights.
