Unknown over Grand Junction, CO
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Me and the other witness were going out to smoke some cigarettes and everything was muffled under the first snowfall of the year. After a few smokes we began to hear these bizarre, high-pitched noises. I mean, the noises we were hearing were otherworldly. Witness 2 is a bird-watcher and says there is nothing like that in nature (not to mention our nature is pretty limited in this town). If I could compare the noise to anything it would be a zipline made of electricity. There were two of the same noises, each which lasted about half a second yet created a distinct Doppler effect. When me and my friend slowly went outside to see what the hell was going on there were birds flying from the direction of the noise (in a dead, snowy night) we could tell that the noises were almost communicating with each other. Then all of a sudden the noises came again and the most ridiculous thing in my life. At the moment they made the final noise there was this streak of electricity moving faster than I've seen anything move yet trailing a tail of what in the brief time I could see it appeared to be electricity. So naturally at first I attributed it to something hitting a telephone wire or something. But when I walked further out to get a view I realized there never was and never has been a telephone pole in that direction for a long ways. The closest one is strung along the opposite direction. I have not believed in anything UFO related up until this point, but this is the second encounter I've had this week. I'm actually wary of publicizing it on here but I will include it in another report since it was almost a week prior from this and the 2nd witness involved was not present.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #131526). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

There appears to be 2 objects in the sky over the beach in San Diego, CA. One is a narrow white rectangle and the other is a wider black rectangular craft. We started finding UFOs / objects / anomalies in our pictures about 2 years ago. Since then we have found over 100 objects in pics ranging from just last week (Jan. 26-28, 2022) to, so far, 2006- we have about 10,000 pics we’ve taken in our 40 year marriage. I’m sure we’ll find many more.

Sitting down facing east. To the emirate left ( North ) at 10 oclock these lights entered the atmosphere, traveled to the right ( South ) until at a 1 o'clock position the exited the atmosphere, ( or vanished ). In a straight line they followed each other at the same speed. They were in sequence 1-2. the 3-4, then 4-3 of them together. It looked a lot like Tracer Fire going across the sky.. No Sound. They were as bright as an aircraft is seen at 46,000 feet at 10:00pm.

We took some photos of our trip from Gateway, Co. to Moab, Utah- through back country dirt road. Took a lot of pics. About a month later- 10-14 days ago- I examined the pics for wildlife by expanding them and noticed this blue-green thing in the clouds. I had taken 5 or 6 in that area and got 4 pics with the UFO in it. As it ‘flew’ (or slowed down or prepared to land) it seemed to change from blue-green to a normal saucer shape (pic 3 $ 4). I showed family and friends then contacted you.

I had stepped out for a smoke and was looking south at the predawn sky. A steady light (not blinking), came into view above the south end of the house. It was brighter than any satellite I have ever seen. It was about as bright as Arcturus, moving ESE at between 45 and 50 degrees above the southern horizon. Almost immediately two more lights of the same size and intensity came into view behind the first moving at the same speed and direction. The three lights formed an almost perfect equilateral triangle. The lights maintained this formation as they moved ESE. The triangle did not form a solid object but appeared to be three separate objects. There was no sound and they were moving faster than a high flying jet. Before my view would have been blocked by trees all three lights blinked out in unison and disappeared.

Wife and I were outside stargazing for a short bit before the cold snuck in. It's a clear a night and we live on one of the highest points of the town. Stars were bright, you could see aircraft, and satellites. The wife looking Southwest, spotted a line formation of single lights that followed each other in equal distances. They did not break their trail. This all lasted maybe 15 seconds before they all vanished at one particular point in the sky, one after the other in perfect timing. The only thing I can think of what they could be would be drones, but for the purpose and time of the event, I'm not sure why they would be in our town. Or how they'd vanish, all at one specific spot in "space". The wife claims the "Line" of lights eccentrically trailed a larger circular mass, although nothing was spotted hosting the lights in a concrete position. Upon my own perception, they seemed to follow a single linear path. To my other; they trailed circular, but on a large circumference moving forward in a single linear path before disappearing at a certain point. Any leads would be great...
