Other over Great Smokey Mountains National Park, TN

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

My daughter and I were recently driving on the Foothills Parkway in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. It was a beautiful day and we stopped at several overlooks to take pictures. Later that day we also drove through Cades Cove which is also in the park and we continued to take pictures of the mountains. Later, while viewing the pictures, we noticed an anomaly in two pictures from two different locations. The pictures were clear but the anomalies were oddly fuzzy and without defined edges and a bit different from each other. If it was just in one picture I would not think too much about it, but we were in two different locations taking pics of the same mountains from two different vantage points. All the rest of my pictures that day were fine. No problem with the camera, a Canon EOS T31.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #131050). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
