Circle over San Diego (North County), CA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
My wife called me out to the back yard and I saw an orange light moving slowly southeast -- towards the rising moon -- without making a sound. I assumed it was some sort of plane and went back inside, but then she called me back: two more orange lights were moving across the sky, one moving towards us from the northeast, before straightening out and moving straight south, the other in roughly the same region as the first. There was no sound from any of the three lights. This was strange enough for me to search for a site like this one!
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #129410). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
