Fireball over Cement City, MI
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was walking home and on my way home I saw a shooting star which drew my attention to the sky. As I walked and watched I saw this big streak of light crashing down from the sky. The color of the light is the same as a bulb in the pitch black. It appeared to be crashing due to the fact streaks of fire dashed through the trail of light behind it, which I realized was smoke. After crashing at alarming speeds the object abruptly stopped and faded its colors to match that of a star with a red/blue ring around it.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #129080). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
