The report, as filed

1:15 A.M. August 2, 2016, I was standing in the backyard of my home. I was looking nearly straight up and facing the northeast watching the stars, looking for satellites and early Perseids Meteors. I had actually seen two meteors and about 5 satellites. I had been outside for about an hour, when I got my first really good view of a phenomenon that I have seen on three previous occasions. I was looking into a clear sky with no obstructions, the same as the three previous times, when I saw what looked like a flash bulb going off in the sky above me. This is the first time that I have seen this clearly. On the previous occasions, I only saw it out of the corner of my eye and never got a clear view. In fact, I have seen it so infrequently that I had figured that it must be a trick of the light. I starts in a black, starless area of the sky (about 20 degrees east of Alkaid at the end of the big dipper) a small pin prick of light, like a star, suddenly appears and then seems to explode with a flash that leaves a very faint, momentary, aura around it. The very bright flash expands out to three or four times the diameter of a star and then it fades to black. It’s almost as if a meteor were coming straight down towards the earth and then quickly burns up in the atmosphere while being directly in line with my line of sight. Not sure if that’s possible but that seems like a pretty good description of it, except that the color isn’t quite right, it has an almost blue-white hue to it and not the more yellow-white of a shooting star. More of a cool color look. I have seen plenty of satellites that are rotating in and out of reflection and I am 100% sure that it was not a satellite. It may have a perfectly simple explanation, but I haven’t seen anything on the internet that ! describes exactly what I saw. I guess it’s not really a UFO, by the strict definition but it is an unusual phenomenon that I can’t explain. Maybe you folks have an answer for me.

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

At approximately 11:30 PM I looked out my window and noticed an object blinking multiple lights. First I thought it was a drone. The object appeared about about a mile away when I first noticed it. I retrieved my field binoculars, took them outside. What I see is beautiful, multicolored bright, flashing lights all over the outside of the object. Deep deep blues, gold, red, silver, green and white colors. The object remains in the same spot for over an hour now, no noise at all. I live in a quiet neighborhood, if it was making noise I would have heard it. I also thought it might have been a Helicopter, I looked on flight aware and did not see any aircraft in that area. But it might have been masked also. It was one of the most beautiful objects I've seen in the sky. [NUFORC annotation: Planet/Star - Possible]

While driving on 104th st e, I was headed towards south hill mall when I saw a glowing orb hovering to my left, it hovered for a while then descended downwards, I lost sight of it behind some trees. Made no noise and seemed to flicker or be continuously turning. Looked pretty high up I have video footage.

Was driving and saw a silver sphere floating in the sky ~ 3 foot diameter. The sun was reflecting off of it, seemed to be floating or coming towards me about 10 seconds, and then quickly veared down and to the left behind a treeline. Once I got closer and passed the treeline I couldn't see/find it anywhere. I was on 512 driving towards the South Hill Mall exit about 3 miles away from it when I spotted it in the sky to the left of the freeway.

Came from quite a distance towards me lighting bottom side of clouds it passed beneath. Hovered flashing and possibly tumbling for a minute then shot back quickly in the direction it had come. Stayed visible as an undulating red glowing pinpoint for a couple minutes at great distance. Helicopter appear to be possibly tracking it when close to me but didn't keep up with it when it left. Helicopter was much smaller. I went back in house and went to bed plugging my phone in first. It said 2:30am. Relatives I had just said goodnight to before going out to my car to get bags said they went to bed at 10:30 pm. I can't explain the time discrepancy.

Silver sphere zipping around. No noise. High up. I’ve seen one of these up close with my mom in 97… 6 months ago I saw 3 form a triangular shape which expanded and shrank… then lined up vertically and 1 shot up in the sky and the other two drifted horizontally and zipped away on other directions… no noise. Both times we didn’t have phones. This time I got a video. I didn’t have my phone on me the first 2 minutes or so but I finally caught a glimpse! This last time was just like the incident in 97 but much further away. My mom and I saw one of these in Alaska hovering right above our house. It was a perfect sphere with no evidence of construction. Like a droplet of Mercury.
