The report, as filed
I had seen an orange sphere traveling east towards Chicago. The UFO was flickering, and had almost appeared to be on fire. Went either threw or above a cloud but was still visible. Exited the cloud and as it was about to enter another cloud it has slowly faded away. But never had exited the other cloud. The UFO had appeared to be traveling at the speed of a commercial aircraft. At first I thought the object was some spotlights from either the high school stadium or a Halloween decoration, but as I drove home I never seemed to get closer or further from the object. It seemed to follow me until I entered my subdivision and then it just vanished. The lights seemed to move in an elliptical path that was at least a mile long and all converged in a center. It was mostly obscured by clouds so I couldn’t get many details [NUFORC annotation: Searchlight - Probable]

The incident occured on a clear sunny day with only a few clouds in the sky. While walking outside, I observed a shimmering object floating or hovering in the sky. It was cylindrical with the narrow ends at the top and bottom. It got larger which would mean it was heading southwest and, as it enlarged, it appeared to be different shades of orange as though there was a flame. I could not make out any other details. I then came across another person who also did not know what it was. I was briefly facing away from the object to speak to them and when I turned around, the object appeared to be moving north (and slightly to the west). It was much smaller and more like a yellow speck of light. At the same moment, I heard an aircraft coming from the east and then, a minute or so later, from the west. The sound of the aircraft from the east seemed like it was in the general direction of the object. The trajectory of the second plane seemed unrelated.

It was 9:25 pm when I was hanging out in my garage working on my cars. when I was going to go to the bathroom outside and I saw the Large orange ball on the horizon. I started recording video on my phone right away not knowing what I was seeing. it was a large orange ball that seemed like it was on fire but was very bright orange/yellow and was changing colors from orange to yellow. this event lasted around 2 min. I have seen meteors before in my life and this I could not explain. I will send the video to your location along with maps and GPS coordinates where the UFO came from.

this was an object that was a rectangular shape with blue on the outering of it and then red and white on the inside of it. it traveled south ward just before we had a big lighting storm , it hovered for a minute then traveled south for a second, hovered again and then traveled south west.
