The report, as filed
This was an amazing event. I was driving and proximately 50 km/h through my town at dusk when I noticed 3 black cylindrical shaped objects about the size of at small house each at approximately 300 ft in altitude equally spaced in a triangular formation about 100' from each other and traveling slightly slower than me. As soon as I could I pulled over and jumped out of my car. I happen to have high-powered astronomy green laser on me. I would never point that at any airplane, but I was completely confident that these objects were of such a strange nature! that I could point my laser them in an attempt to make contact. I could not even get a reflection, the moment my laser touched one of the objects it disappeared at which point a second witness saw me and a 1km visible green laser beam shining up into the sky in the direction of the 2 black remaining objects. there was no sound to these objects or lights. I proceeded to point my visible green laser at the second object and it disappeared. Then the Third, and there was nothing to look at. I waited there for a while to see if they would reappear and they did not. Source of report indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Ella Beach just outside Sooke. We notice a slow moving object heading east about 1000 feet in the air. I would estimate it was about 60 feet in size. It was just as bright as a star and made no noise. I caught some of it on video but the battery in my camera died. I viewed the object for well over 2 minutes; it was moving so slow. Friday, June 2nd, 2017, same location. This time much higher in the air and moving much faster. It was moving in a southern direction toward Washington state. This one appeared to phase out of reality and disappeared. 7 witnesses.

I had just picked up my daughter from work from her evening shift. Pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. My daughter disappeared into the house and the clarity of the evening sky and the moon caught my attention. A bright green sphere with a long green tail trailing behind with very defined edges of colour. I noticed a flash of light in the sky. It dropped straight down at a 90 deg angle for about a sec to another 90 deg turn to the North. At a very high rate of speed darted from the South due north directly into the centre of the big dipper and disappeared. Only one was seen. Was higher elevation than a plane but lower than a satellite or shooting star. The trailing green light behind was about half the distance it travelled. as soon as the sphere disappeared the green tail followed and disappeared into the very same spot about a second later. Total time seen was about 10 sec. I live in a rural area. It was a clear evening. The moon was roughly 240 deg in the sky. Cloud cover was negligible.

I know what satellites look like as they flash when travelling across the sky. What I saw seemed very different. It was a series of bright flashes coming from a single point in the sky. Sort of like if someone were to turn a flashlight on and off a few times in the dark. I'm pretty careful not to jump to conclusions, so just chalked this up to strange and unusual. I've had a couple of other strange and unusual sightings, this one not as impressive - but it seemed strange nevertheless so posted it.
