The report, as filed
On 4 Nov 15 at appox 22:00 I was traveling westerly on rte 202 in Hollis, Me.. And what appeared to be a shooting star came down directly in front of me. It was bright with a tail and came down at a 90° angle, not from an arc and just flashed out. Next night, 5 Nov same time, same location a rectangular red lit object appeared to my right. It had a series of bright red lights in rows. Some appeared to be flashing. The rectangular shape was on the horizontal. It was about tree level, or above. I slowed and kept visual contact, on and off for a mile or two. I did not see it again after crossing the intersection of rte 35. Kept an eye out but remainder of ride home was uneventful.
