The report, as filed
On 9/27/15 my wife and I were trying to watch the blood moon forming in the east. Since it was very cloudy throughout most of the valley, I became a little bored and started to look around the sky. Upon looking at the mountain behind our house I noticed a couple white dots hovering over the mountain. I thought they were airplanes at first because that is a normal route that is used when they are coming in to land at McCarran Airport. After a few minutes went by they still had not moved any closer and stayed in the same area. I then noticed more lights appearing next to them, there were approximately 6-8 more lights that appeared right next to each other. I was able to see the lights moving around from left to right and a few of them would disappear then reappear for the next few minutes. After another minute went by we had seen more lights appear closer to us, but still over the mountain. As this was happening we noticed what appeared to be lights comi! ng down the side of the mountain. There were probably at least 30 objects moving down alongside the mountain. As this was happening my wife started to freak out and pulled me inside of the house. She started to have a panic attack so I had to tend to her for the rest of the night. Where we viewed the objects moving down the mountain I did not know that there was trail that high up. I had found this out the next day using google earth and verified that these lights were moving down that same trail. We live approximately 300 ft. away from the mountain and will normally hear vehicles or off-road vehicles driving on the road below the trail. There was no sound at all and the lights appeared to be hovering over the ground. I also thought that they may have been people walking/running on the trail, but that didn’t explain the lights hover above the mountain. All of the lights seen were large and very bright; they were definitely bigger than a flashlight and probably bigger! than the size of a headlight. They were definitely not flares or any other type of aircraft, I was in the military and I know how planes and flares move. The mountain I am referencing is called “Desert Hills” right in the corner of Blue Diamond Rd. and Fort Apache Rd.

It was approximately 5:17 a.m. on 9/15/2023 when I was outside my house taking my morning stretch. As I leaned back and looked into the sky, I saw a distant light/orb moving across the sky (it was still quite dark out). At first I dismissed it as the ISS drifting along its orbit, but then the orb started to make turns and moves. I dashed inside and grabbed my phone and was able to take one video of the orb (I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max). The uncut video is about 40 seconds long, but the orb can only be seen in the first 15 or so seconds. As you can see from the video, the orb really starts to make some moves at around the :03 second mark, and then it does several turns before zooming off and vanishing. I have attached the uncut original iPhone clip. I also retained a professional video editor to enhance and cleaned up. I attach two of those clips provided by the video editor. The enhanced version really shows the details of the moves the orb makes. This is not a hoax and I provide the raw, untouched video.

A bright flash in the sky caught my eyes. I looked and saw a white light silently travelling across the sky from west to east. It was blinking erratically sometimes barely visible and then sometimes flashing very brightly. One particular flash actually left what looked like a relatively-large slightly-erratic solid illuminated yellowish-orange line in the sky. It looked like long exposure photography. It was visible for the time the light was lit during that flash, perhaps a second. The line was the length of maybe a quarter of the diameter the moon appears in the sky. I've never seen anything before like that in real life. The light continued moving in a straight line toward the East, blinking erratically with mostly dim blinking which made it hard to see as it traveled away. I often watch the sky at night and see many planes and satellites at night and this definitely wasn't a plane. The flashing was irregular and I can almost always see the red light on planes and distinguish the different lights. It did not appear to be a satellite due to the blinking and the strange line artifact. Afterwards, just to be sure, I thoroughly checked my glasses' lenses for scratches, thinking perhaps it was reflection in a scratch, but I didn't find one and I've been wearing glasses for decades and I've never seen anything like that. Maybe ball lighting? I have no idea what this was.

Backyard Ring camera captured 2.5 hours of video footage of a bright triangle moving across the sky from 6:30pm to 9:10pm when it traveled out of sight behind my neighbors house.
