Formation over Woods Canyon Lake, GA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Five of us were sitting around a campfire when to the NorthWest a formation of blue-green lights appeared in the sky. They were moving from West-Northwest headed South at first, and then turned in an Easterly direction. Their formation closely resembled the Big Dipper constellation, but backwards. There were about 16 or so lights, with ten of them in pairs on the front end of the formation. One solitary light tagged behind out of formation, but kept pace and heading with the rest. Their lights never dimmed, blinked, nothing. There was no noise and they seemed to be moving at a constant high velocity. None of us have ever seen a UFO before, but we are all acquainted with most planes, balloons, satellites, etc. This was nothing that we have ever seen before.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #121938). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
