The report, as filed
We were awakened by a car alarm. As soon as the alarm turned off, you could hear, a very distinct humming sound above us. The sound would not change tone or break for 30 mins. Also, you can hear it move to different parts of the neighborhood. It would leave from above us, move further away, then it would move back toward us. It was a very very obvious tone, unlike any plane, train or siren. The sound seemed concentrated within a 4 block radius. We live at the dead end of a cul de sac with no street light, that faces a wooded area. We are also above avg elevation, ruling out traffic sounds.
