Clear, but slightly overcast evening. Rising moon and stars were slightly distorted by haze. Orange object was clear but unknown about about distance away from observer. Uneducated guess would be 4-7 miles. Servers times aircraft would be seen following/trailing objects. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
