Teardrop over Blue Diamond, NV
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Around 4pm Pacific time, a UFO was spotted by police and onlookers as it hovered over the Blue Diamond/Las Vegas western desert. The object made no noise as it hovered. A center light could be seen from time to time intermittently. It appears the police and fire departments were called, but all they could do is stand and stare in awe with everyone else as the object hovered and rotated, until about 20 minutes after I arrived, it suddenly took off heading up and to the left (about a 75 degree angle) towards Parhump, NV, at extremely fast speeds, with no sound. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #117644). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
