Circle over Lowell/Tyngsboro/Nashua, MA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Since it's so close to where LGH is, I assumed maybe it was medflight but as I got closer I realized the depth perception wasn't right. These lights were actually lower and closer so had to have been a lot smaller than helicopters. They were all in a row until I started getting closer and then one shot all the way across the water to the other side of Lowell and hovered, one shot towards Nashua, and the other one I couldn't find. The rate in which they travelled was nothing that I've ever seen. My boyfriend and I left a restaurant in separate cars. He was about five minutes behind me and he told me that he saw the same thing. I tried to take video but my camera wouldn't focus. Witnesses elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #116787). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
