The report, as filed
Looked like a comet with a tail, becoming more rocket like as it moved across the 101 highway in Summerland. Quickly changed shape looking like it dropped a fuel tank. Continued moving out to the ocean with what appeared to be some type of force field around it. Disappeared from sight. Many others were pulling over to film. Car radio and street lights were interrupted. Dog was distressed. My wife (in another vehicle) reported hearing 'mechanical sounds' as she was exiting her car.
