The report, as filed
I looked at the sky and saw what looked like a small trapped amount of rainbow in a cloud. I thought it was pretty, or visually appealing, and as I drove I could tell I was seeing slightly less and less of it. At its clearest definition, it looked like it was caused by the sun shining directly into a funnel-like shape in the cloud, I thought it was probably just some natural phenomena of the sun and color spectrum and shape of the cloud/moisture in it. Totally explainable but just beyond my understanding or comprehension of science/nature/or physics. Suddenly, as I pulled into a straight section of the highway, the colorful cloud disappeared and at a different location in the sky what looks to be about 4 feet upwards from the horizon, at a distance of roughly (going off of odometer distance at the time from Fox Creek 40-60 km, rough estimate I know, sorry). Anyways, it just appeared at this location ahead of me, with a short white tail much like a comets, but it was too short, it didn't look like any jet stream/tail that I have ever noticed before, and the object appeared to be falling at a rapid speed. I concluded it must have been a comet, headed somewhat towards my direction and that was why the tail appeared short, must have been due to my perspective/angle to the object. I had trouble making out the shape of it, but there was definitely some sort of head of the “comet-like object” that had sharp edges that stood out against the tail in the background of it. The next second, I look up, it just stopped its rapid descent and sat in the skyline, radiating a very small pink light in the distance ahead of me, about 1 foot up from the horizon from my current position, driving rapidly towards it at 100 km/hour. I am going back and forth between driving safely (as it's icy winter conditions) and watching this happen on the horizon, and it is easy for me to continue looking at the exact spot in the sky because i am driving in a straight line and there are structures in the distance in which to reference it by. When I next look up, there is a very short horizontal line appearing to the bottom right of the pink dot in the sky, that was NOT there a moment ago, and in the time span I watch it move (speaking from my driving perspective) what appears about a inch across the sky, then the next second I look up, both the pink dot and short horizontal white dash across the sky have vanished. I don't think I'm crazy, I have no history of hallucinating or psychological disorders, or even making up stories, though I do believe in the possibility of other life somewhere in the universe, but I don't believe I was desiring there to be so much that I made it up in my sub-conscious for whatever reason, at first I really was just scared that it was a comet or asteroid, and was actually going to hit the earth, until it stopped, and sat there, glowing pink. I do a lot of troubleshooting and observation due to my job, so it is easy for me to observe a process without involving any bias or personal feelings into it. And it was broad day light, I had just been driving for an hour on my way to work, after a good night's rest and a normal breakfast. I don't know what I saw, but there is no part of what I saw that resembled a plane, jet, or helicopter. We have changed the time above, to reflect a daytime sighting. PD

At around 3:00, I saw the ISS move across the sky, so I am confident it was not merely any satellite. Many different low brightness blinking UFOS, sometimes emitting pulses of spread light. Movement was erratic, non-linear acceleration in many of them. Could easily move from their current position to an entirely different position akin to shining a laser pointer and moving it across the sky, their velocity had no inertia insofar as I could tell. There was more than a dozen of these sighted phenomena, and each of them moved in erratic manners. Occasionally split off into more vehicles, though this type of event occurred less frequently. Extremely dim light emission, unable to be received on Android A6 smartphone camera.

I'm assuming this is explainable, but am still curious enough to report this sighting. Sunset today was at 16:55.

I was staring out my front window to the north, and a light appeared in the sky, brighter than any star I've seen, and it was flashing blue and green and red, rapidly changing colours. I thought it might be a planet, or a satellite maybe, but it was moving in weird patterns. It would move to the left, and then to the right, and then up. It continued this pattern for a couple of minutes. I'd like to note that this is nothing new. I have seen this light in the sky before, and have watched it a couple of times for hours. It's what it did next that alarmed me. The light got really bright, and then something shot off it to the west very quickly and out of sight. Then a couple of seconds later, another light shot off of it straight up. The original light then blinked out, and reappeared about two seconds later across the sky, before slowly moving to the north and out of sight. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and she sounded to us to be quite serious minded. We suspect that the report is an accurate rendition of what she had seen. PD

Over an hour it had moved slowly across the sky and disappeared behind some trees. We suspect that the witness may have been looking at Sirius. PD

At 9:40pm, on December 31, 2015, four of us were sitting at the dinner table playing a board game. My husband was looking out the window and he said, "What is that?" He pointed out what he was looking at and said two of these identical objects had flown over already. The lights were inside (sic. outside?) the house, and he was sitting closest to the window, so the objects were visible beyond the reflections in the glass at night. We headed out the patio door to get a better look and in the distance we saw more of these objects. As they came into view each looked identical. There were a total of four objects that were observed outside, with a fairly large space in between. All objects were flying in single file. During this time I grabbed my cell phone off the table we were sitting at and started recording. The objects made no sound as approaching or departing our field of view. Each object emitted a white flickering light. As the last of the objects was coming into view, we all ran inside through to the front of the house to see what they were doing on the other side; all the while recording. The objects appeared to fan out in the distance and disappear from view. We approximate that the altitude of the objects is around 500 feet up and they may have been automobile sized objects, but was hard to discern as only light from the object was observed. There were no vehicle traffic sounds drowning out any sound that may have been coming from the objects. There was a dog barking in the distance and when at the front of the house there is the sound of an inflatable Christmas display on the porch. A copy of the video recorded will be mailed to your office. We have written the source of the report, requesting a copy of the video she alludes to in the report. PD
