Le samedi 29 novembre 2014 aux environs de 23h15, une personne est intriguée par le passage rapide et silencieux d'une forme lumineuse et de couleur jaune orangé dans le ciel. Le phénomène se déplace selon une trajectoire rectiligne. Aucun autre témoignage ne sera recueilli. Le passage de boule lumineuse orange un samedi soir évoque une lanterne thaï, probablement lâchée à proximité à l'issue d'une fête privée. Le témoin regarde vers le Sud-Sud-ouest, l'objet va de sa gauche vers sa droite en s'éloignant. Le vent relevé au Mans est de Nord Est (Voir le relevé Météociel). Ce vent est compatible avec la direction prise par l'objet lumineux. Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "B" : observation probable d'une lanterne thaïlandaise. [GEIPAN classification B — Lanterne thai]
