Fireball over Austell, GA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was driving west on I-20 when a very bright light began falling from the sky. It fell fast and was very bright. When the natural moment of impact should have taken place, all of the drivers on the interstate hit their brakes at the same time. The light, as it got to its brightest, disappeared right before it would've hit the ground.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #113836). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Multiple aircraft arrived soon after. Slower than a shooting star, but faster than any commercial aircraft. Lost sight of it as it continued downwards beyond that tree line.
