The report, as filed
At about 22:45 in Bothell, WA, I was on my back deck and saw numerous objects (I believe 6) fly overhead. They had no lights but were clearly visible I'm assuming due to the city lights below. They looked silverish-gray but that is probably the city light reflecting off them. They were in a "V" formation. One in front, two directly behind the first, and 3 behind the two. The row with three, the one on the far right was off centered however. Appeared to be pulling away from the others but I can't be sure as I only saw the objects for a few seconds before they went over the tree line. There was no sound at all. I cannot give an exact altitude but I'm guessing 1000-2000 feet due to the speed across the sky. Basically west to East. If they were at 10,000 feet they would have been the size of jumbo jets and going at least mach 4 or 5 so my assumption is much lower altitude. Again, no sound at all which is not possible if it was a low-flying (or high flying) formation of jets. I cannot guarantee they were separate objects as it's a pitch black night sky, but it appeared they were, as one was out of formation. My first thought was maybe a big drone but the speed was too fast and the off-centeredness does not make sense. I'm sure others saw what I saw too as it's a populated area. Very strange and never seen anything like it. ((CORRECTION FROM WITNESS)) Sorry it was 22:45 (10:45 pm)...give or take 10 mins ((END CORRECTION)) ((2ND CORRECTION FROM WITNESS)) Sorry it was 9/20. A few hours before I sent the email. I live by an International airport and within 25 miles of two Boeing airports so I see a lot of aircraft flying around. Also seen Blue Angels many of times and it did look like an Angel formation, very close together. But if what I saw was military aircraft, judging by the size they would have been around 10,000 feet, flying very fast and there would have been sound. Was completely silent. ((END CORRECTION)) We suspect that report is a hoax. Date is flawed, and source has failed to respond to our e-mailed messages. We have changed the date. PD

This is creeping me out. Second time in 3 weeks I’ve watched “stars” move. Tonight star gazing on my deck. Saw a flash out of my left peripheral vision, thought maybe it was a late perseid meteor. Looked to the area and saw what i thought was a star, until the damn thing started moving. It was at about my 10oclock, went kind of down to the right then in an upside down arch like a smile, kind of down, over and up to about 2 o’clock, then faded away by the bottom of the Big Dipper. It was moving damn fast and scared the crap out of me. Not an international flight, as I see them regularly and know what they look like. This was WAY up high, fast and freaky. There’s a bunch of light pollution to my north, where I lost sight of it.

I like to watch Seatac air traffic from my deck. About 2 am I was sitting out there looking at clouds and a light caught my eye WAY up high. Moving at a pace like an international flight, west to east. But it was too high to be commercial jet so thought it was a satellite. Until it stopped. It kind of moved around a bit before becoming stationary. Weather balloon? Are they lit up and look like stars? Got my camera, iPhone 14pro plus and started recording. Saw a flash to the right of it, which was really odd, but nothing else interesting. Looked back at the video to see if the flash showed up and zoomed in a bit and oh man. I could see more flashes around it. And it looks like the orb is flashing, or is emitting energy or something. It was just weird then really started doing flashy stuff (you’ll see) that’s freaking not normal. No clue what it is, but it’s really weird. Saw something similar the end of June. Thought it was one of the planets to the west, but it was too bright. Decided it was a jet coming in from the ocean. It just stayed there, so I thought damn, it’s way out there. Then it turned like it should, I could see the red lights on the left side. Ok good. It’s a jet. but it just stopped. Huh? Then it traveled rather slowly from west to east. From just above the horizon to almost overhead. Then stopped. Looked like it moved around like in a square but then thought my eyes were tricking me. It just sat there. I watched it for about 20 minutes then went inside thinking “that was not normal”.

There was a bright starlight in the sky and then I realized it was moving upward like a plane. It was right after the sun was setting, the whole sight was about 15 seconds. As it went up it suddenly took a 90 degree turn to the right. I thought that was odd so I kept watching it. It went straight up in the air then dipped down, then back up again like a loop but fast enough it couldn't be a plane as if you were drawing with crayon in the sky. It went steady up and to the right in the sky. Looking East near Mill Creek.

North Bothell, WA... Between 4:50-4:55 PM my wife and I were sitting on our front porch which faces East. I know this to be the exact time because we called my sister and cell phone shows called made at 4:52. As we talked on speaker phone, my eye caught something moving north-to-south (from Mill Creek to Bothell) straight across the sky. It was hard to determine elevation and size but likely at a thousand feet or so and small, round shape (?). It was shiny and appeared reflective so hard to determine the exact shape. I saw it first and asked. "what's that?" My wife looks up and immediately says, "a bird". I continued looking to make sure it wasn't a sea gull or white bird flapping wings, and beyond a doubt it was not a bird. I said, no way that is a bird. That looks really strange. She could tell it wasn't a bird either and then replied, "a mylar balloon". Ok, now a balloon caught in a wind current is a possibility and fits som! e of the description. I am rational and reasonable and this could explain it. However, something just seemed off about that explanation. I tried to get my brain to see it as a mylar balloon but the size, speed and way it moved could not reconcile. I would not waste my time reporting this if I was confident it was just a balloon or a drone. We continued to watch it as continued out of view... no other changes as it went out of sight. Am curious if anyone saw and reported this same object?

I went to my backyard to let the dog out, and as I was standing there facing south, I saw 3 red lights flying at normal aircraft speed, but in a triangle formation, going north directly my toward me, but very high in the ski. Just as they were about 70 degrees in sight, they gradually faded out. No aircraft sounds, no blinking and the faded one by one. As the last one faded, the next set of 3 appeared, same triangle pattern, same exact flight path, same structure, same red light, same fade out. I didn’t have my cell phone, so I could not record it, but I went back outside and noticed a very strong chemical, burned plastic smell. And the smell is still happening now, 30 minutes later.

My mother any I were sitting out in one of my field, watching the the last of the Persieds and k-Cygnids. We managed to see a couple satellites and a few bonus straggles from the showers. Just as we were talking about going inside, I pointed out what seemed to be another satellite... when all of a sudden the bright light zagged left... then right, paused, juked left, then shot off to the right and disappeared. It was traveling North to South, strait above us.
