Le dimanche 17 août 2014 à environ 22h40 un témoin observe durant 5 minutes le déplacement d'un phénomène lumineux blanc dans le ciel qui l'intrigue. D'autres témoins constatent le phénomène. Un seul témoignage est recueilli. La description du phénomène faite par le témoin évoque nettement le passage d'un gros satellite. Une vérification sur Calsky confirme que la station spatiale internationale (ISS) était bien visible à ce moment là, dans la direction indiquée par le témoin : du Nord-Ouest vers l'Est. Ce cas d'observation, parfaitement identifié, est classé "A" : observation de l'ISS [GEIPAN classification A — ISS]
