The report, as filed
June 26, 2014 Dear Mr. Davenport I have written to you twice in the past week, regarding the lights in the sky over Orange and Riverside County. This morning on KTLA (Los Angeles Station), they reported two lights in that same vicinity last night, and they were recorded once again. The news anchor reports, Camp Pendleton Marine Base, Miramar Naval Base, (which are located in the Oceanside, San Diego area) and the FAA ,have put out a statement, they don’t know what these lights are. On the MUFON California site, I clicked on Orange County, I checked it out last night, it goes to some other venue. They claim it was maneuvers at Camp Pendleton and that they have solved the issue. My foster son who served 4 deployments to IRAQ and is an active Marine at Camp Pendleton said, there is no truth that these lights were caused by maneuvers at Camp Pendleton. I guess if the issue is being investigated, we will never hear the outcome. Very unfortunate. Thanks for listening.

Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
