The report, as filed
There was a dark almost particle and fairly quickly fading (over 3 minutes) vertical smoke cloud from the sky to the ground very straight up and down (and there was shear wind...I am a pilot so it was very unusual) then moments later a while contrail of smoke that had the shape of a spinning object in the same sight line to the west of observed viewpoint which flew by for a few minutes then suddenly stopped the contrail. Perhaps a meteor breaking up? It was accompanied by low pitched non-engine noise....also something I have not heard before from aviation flying. We have requested that the witness submit more, and more detailed, information about the sighting. PD

Clear sky, no wind, no clouds, no other aircraft. We see a low flying (silent) irregular shape, hazy, white blob floating with a clearly defined horizontal white light behind it. Objects moved in unison. Unable to determine if it was one object or two separate objects. We got a video as the object(s) floated/flew towards us before turning south. They were low enough that a motor should have been heard. I've never seen anything like it. My dogs did not respond to it. My camera had a difficult time getting clear shapes. You can hear crickets in the background.

Ball of fire. 1/8 th inch from my perspective. No light trail. Looks like landed in Gulf of Mexico. Did not look like shooting star. Much closer and bigger.

It appeared to be a large TV screen with no depth, but having two colors, dull grey and red markings.
