Le 13 octobre 2013 quatre pilotes (voir les positions estimées des 4 avions sur le questionnaire aéronautique) ont observé un puissant phénomène lumineux dans l'Est de la France, phénomène observé aussi au sol (voir article de presse), et par la caméra de Chaligny (près Nancy) du réseau BOAM. Ce phénomène, nommé bolide, a été caractérisé comme une rentrée atmosphérique de météoroïde (chute de météorite). Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "A". [GEIPAN classification A — Météoroïde]
