Le 3 octobre 2013 vers 22h05 un témoin est intrigué par la présence à basse altitude dans le ciel d'une sorte de demi-cercle orangé vif. L'observation dure 5 minutes. Plus d'un an après les faits, et après avoir étudié diverses possibilités de méprise, le GEIPAN a proposé au témoin en enquête sur place ; ce dernier a répondu qu'il avait trouvé lui-même l'origine du phénomène : un lampadaire lointain.
