Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

There was a red blinking light in a field as we were driving by it was hovering quietly, as we turned onto another road we saw a side view, there was a small red light and then about 5-10 feet over there was a big red blinking light. Soon after it flew very fast to the left and disappeared.

A total of five white orbs, lined up in half-circle, were seen above the point of the mountain just about mid-day in clear, blue skies. They would slowly increase distance from one another, and remain still again. They were either moving far away from us, or left/right. They did not move up or down. Continuously moved further apart from one another. We are very close to the NSA building. Hmmm. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
