What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Driving south on I-15, I saw a smooth, Tic-tac shaped object about the size of a helicopter. This object had no propellers, wings, engines, tethers, or any other identifiable features. It was smooth white with two flat spots on the bottom at each end. It hovered in place, unmoving just about 100 feet above the nearest foothill peak. It did not move the entire time it was within my sight.

Traveling southbound on I-15 in Utah County, Utah, I suddenly noticed a bright silver light in the sky around 1:15 in the afternoon. Although there were some clouds in the sky here and there, the area where I saw this light was absolutely clear. The light was probably at a height equivalent to what we would expect from a small airplane’s typical flying altitude. This light then faded away completely. I carefully kept my eye on the area where I saw the light as I continued to travel on the freeway, moving closer to the location of the light. Then the light faded back up, literally out of nowhere, as there was nothing visible to the naked eye in the sky where it appeared. This fading in and out of existence happened probably 3 or 4 times and then it completely discontinued. I watched this area for some time, but was unable to see any kind of object in the sky whatsoever. The bright silver light I saw, when it reached its maximum size, appeared to me to be an actual object, something possibly the size of a small airplane. Because it was so bright, as far as its shape, I can only say that I think it may have been slightly elongated horizontally, but of this I’m not absolutely sure because I only tried to recall that detail from my memory after the fact.

On the night of August 17, 2019, my brother and I were looking at the night sky because on a nightly basis we witness this phenomenon. Every single night around 2:30am till dawn while watching the stars we see what looks like a staring the sky moving very fast, they have to be traveling at thousands of miles an hour. And we own a powerful laser pointer and each time we shine it it will disappear and then reappear in a different spot in the sky, or they will up here to come closer and then turn on a 90 degree angle and move away out of sight very quickly. And then it will not be long before we will see another one, that will act the same way with the laser pointer. This happens every single night and is quite impressive. And sometimes they just fly past very fast but certainly under intelligent control.
