Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

On July 26th 2020 about 1:45 am I was standing outside looking up at the stars, something really big and black passed over my head blocking my view of them. It had no lights , no sound. It took about 10 seconds for it to completely pass over me, returning my view of the stars .

RockCreek wayside, South Beach, Oregon. I was on the beach and could see two other people up beach about 500 yeards watching as well. Super bright glowing white Sphere. Sat stationary in the fog along the shoreline cliff, about 3 miles to the north of us. Sighted for about 10 mins. Then pooffed away.
