Le 24 septembre 2010 des automobilistes circulant sur l'A11 (direction Le Mans-Paris) remarquent dans le ciel un objet stationnaire qui les intrigue. Les témoins, arrivés à l'aire de repos de Sargé-lés-Le-Mans photographient une structure proche d'un appareil de type dirigeable, gris foncé, sans point d'amarrage, semblant immobile durant tout le temps de l'observation. Reprenant leur route ils perdont de vue le ballon. La déclaration d'un autre témoin montre qu'il s'agit d'un ballon captif (relié par un long câble), au dessus du camp militaire d'Auvours, situé à Champagné (72). [GEIPAN classification A — Ballon]
