Le 4 juin 2010 à 23h12 un témoin filme le passage dans le ciel d'une lumière orange. Un deuxième témoin, qui a pris des photographies mais ne pourra les fournir aux enquêteurs, décrit le phénomène comme un "espèce de ballon contenant une sorte de lampion à l'intérieur". Le témoin principal est auditionné par la gendarmerie 4 mois après l'observation. La video jointe au procés verbal de gendarmerie montre effectivement sans ambiguité un vol de lanterne de type thaîlandaise. L'origine et le lieu de lancement n'ont pas été determinés.
