Un témoignage par questionnaire rapporte l'observation d'un point lumineux fixe très brillant à l'Est le 31 décembre 2009 vers 21h (heure locale). Le déplacement apparent très rapide et à haute altitude initialement décrit par le témoin correspond en fait au déplacement des nuages. La durée de l'observation (10 minutes) d'un point fixe très brillant changeant de couleur évoque l'observation de l'étoile la plus brillante de notre ciel : Sirius. La configuration astronomique du ciel montre effectivement la présence de Sirius dans la portion de ciel observée (Est) au moment de l'observation.
